Who was the last person you passed by without speaking to?

Posted on Aug 27th, 2008 by Hollyr : Lady Hollyr
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 27, 2008:

There was a young man outside the library pretty engrossed in his laptop, and I did not want to intrude. Along comes a gal on her bike. Well, there is two people not speaking, so she doesn't either. Soon, though, a lady walks by walking two jack russell terriors. The walker does not acknowledge us, either, but deftly surrenders one leash to the other hand and sends a big wave to a passing car. The terriers, however, let it be known that this is their sidewalk with a duet of growls. The gal and I bust out laughing, and start an inpromtu discussion about little dogs and dogs we have known. By this time, other library users start to pile onto the porch. No body really knowns one another, but we all rcognize each other a little. The usuall chit chat, the somber church bells over the tree tops, and here is the librarian with a cheery hello. The young man is still engrossed in his lap top.

i love animals, and walking by the lake is easy to find some ones walking dogs, i really suspect that are dogs walking people. Although they are unknowns, you have just to say hi to the dog and the talk starts as we were old pals…but i'm usually much more interested in the animal…..the last one was lucky, i even took pics of him.Another place where i feel comfortable and confident to talk to people are the book shops.Hi dear Hollyr.
