How do you respond to suffering?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 25, 2008:
When I suffer, especially heartache, I remember it gives me solidarity with the sacred heart. When Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemane, why did he sweat blood? Because he knew his enemies were going to crucify him, or because his beloved friends failed to understand him? The later, i think, is worse than a crown of thorns.
