Who was the last person you spoke to?

Posted on Oct 3rd, 2008 by Hollyr : Lady Hollyr
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 03, 2008:

I just had a nice chat with a gal that works here in the Hotel. I was just getting up, and my sister is still asleep, so I wandered down to the breakfast room for a cuppa, and this lady was just getting off work. She commented on a news story, and that got me explaining why we are here (historical research on my family). Family stories were shared, and I feel like it was a fairly deep exchange for two people who did not know each other and will probobly never meet again. It's funny, too, as last night my sister and my aunt were just yapping, yapping, yapping, and I just wanted some quiet! I am a writer, and I am not used to constant talk, talk, talk all the time1 But it was refreashing, actually, to just chat with a stanger. It was a real nice - and equal - exchange.

Oh yes,  unknowns………entering our life just for a little while, walking delicatedly just a few steps in our inner space, and surprisinlgy sometimes reaching more deepness than any one before in our lives……….I'm lately thinking about them, intrigant unknowns,  going to blog about it when knowing what to say, is just a sensation right now.

It's kind of magical when you have those kinds of encounters, isn't it?  I think this question was great because so often these little happenstances get lost in the craziness of life unless we are really present and in the moment to even notice enough to blog about it.
Thanks for sharing.

A familar conversation with a perfect stranger lets us know that we are a lot closer to one another than we get the chance to experience most of the time.  That in itself is such a gift, isn't it?
